The 'Grand Tour'

Before we begin the challenge, Chance has given us permission to take you on a grand tour of his mansion, taking in all the artifacts and collectables that he's amassed on his travels.

Also, this will give you an insight into the lifestyle of this extremely private man.
He's humble enough not to brag and boast about his wealth.




Well, as we take a stroll into this magnificently decorated home, the first thing to greet us, is the double, sweeping staircase with it's tastefully decorated walls and underrated beauty.



When asked about it, Chance simply replied, "It's a staircase. It takes me up to my bedroom when I am tired, and back downstairs when I am hungry."



Turning to the left, he takes us into his very elegant 'music room/library' combined.
Dominating this room is a startlingly beautiful mini grand piano.


When asked if it is merely decoration, or whether it is playable. This was Chance's reply.



"I have a piano tuner come in regularly, just to make sure it is in tip top condition. Besides, there's nothing like the soothing sound of a piano, especially after a long hard day at work."

Wow, he's got a way with words here. I feel charmed already.
Are you sure he's not a Romance Sim?
Chance is keeping tight lipped here, just smiles warmly.




There's a small doorway, leading further to the left, and when it is opened, reveals a well equipped home gym, complete with it's very own en suite bathroom/shower room.



Chance admits that he loves a good workout every so often.

"It keeps the body toned and well kept."

His words, not ours.



I couldn't help pointing out, through the arch leading from the music room, that there's a jacuzzi in the next room. It too, is connected to the en suite bathroom/shower room.



This has got to be Chance's pride and joy, and quite rightly so, as it's huge glass windows, look directly out onto the ocean.




Going outside, we find ourselves looking out at an uncluttered private beach, with sunbeds and parasols scattered about.



There's even an outdoor pool, sadly we couldn't take any pictures of that one, however, out intrepid 'flying' cameraman, was able to get a rear shot of the entire mansion.



The paved terrace led us back inside, to the dining room/breakfast room/kitchen combo.
With a huge table and 6 chairs dominating the dining section.



We're all impressed with the monochromatic decor here, black and grey marble, very unusual and extremely striking and elegant too.



Further along, as Chance is used to entertaining guests, he has a buffet table all ready to serve food. When asked if he ever gets the opportunity to cooking meals for himself or anybody else, he tells us that he's always so busy that he never gets the opportunity.
But would love to give it a try. After all, he will need to cook meals when he starts his family.
Oo....err.... is that a proposition I hear?

I think I'd better stick to hosting this show and not get myself lost in those absolutely gorgeous eyes of his, as he towers over my petite figure.

Besides, he's already got his seven lovely ladies, all waiting to see who will be his wife.



Leading out of the expansive kitchen, we arrive at the 'yellow' room. This is mainly the entertainment room, where guests can relax with some music, watch tv, or basically 'chill'.

We now come to the bedrooms upstairs. These will be the bedrooms that our lovely ladies will be spending their time sleeping in and sharing female gossip about our handsome host, Chance.


The first thing that greets us at the top of the stairs, is a matching pair of stone lions that Chance managed to salvage from an historic home that was due to be demolished. He was so taken by these magnificent, regal looking beasts, that he just couldn't help himself and bought them on a whim.

They certainly add to the character of the place, that's for sure.



Firstly, we come to Chance's bedroom. Darkly decorated, and simply furnished, this is Chance's 'haven' where he can relax and unwind. It also has it's very own bathroom/shower room en suite too. All tastefully decorated in his favourite colour of deep blues.





Now let's all see the rooms in which our lovely ladies will spend their evenings sleeping. Obviously, as there is an odd number of guests, at least one lady will be spending her nights alone until after the evictions and vote-offs. But that shouldn't deter them at all. Firstly, the 'peach' room.


Simply decorated and elegant. (as you will notice, all the shared rooms have single beds, whilst Chance has a double, for obvious reasons). Then there's the 'pink' room. Once again, simply decorated.

We have the 'lilac' room, with it's simple furnishings too.



Last but not least, the 'floral' room.
Chance apologises for the bright wallpaper and poor choice of bed linen. He employed an interior decorator whose tastes in decor, left much to the imagination.


Female Sims are allowed to bring objects of their own, but must take them with them when they're voted off.


Please note: The bedrooms will be assigned randomly, so nobody knows who will be sleeping where. Also. There are no pictures of the separate bathrooms, as they all look exactly the same, with showers, toilets, sinks and baths in them. Also, they've all got the same decorative objects too, towel rails etc. So you're not really missing out there. And that concludes the Grand Tour of Chance's mansion.

The next instalment of the Chance challenge will be Chance finally meeting the seven lovely ladies, and we'll see how they all get one with each other.
